The state of North Dakota (ND) defines an electric bike as a device with two or three wheels no more than 32″ wide, with foot pedals or foot rests, a motor of less than 500W and does not exceed a speed of 30mph on level surface.Â

Helmets are required for all riders under the age of 18.
